Adelphi Students Take a Bite Out of the Big Apple

Writer Joan Didion once said about Manhattan: “I still had the sense, so peculiar to New York, that something extraordinary would happen any minute, any day, any month.” For students at Adelphi University this is certainly true—as they regularly have the chance to discover “something extraordinary” in their time here.

Being so close to New York City—less than an hour away by train—means we’re next door to a global center of arts, finance, entertainment, technology and international relations. We delve deeply into all New York City has to offer our students for life-changing experiences—at the United Nations, on Wall Street, on Broadway, in the halls of The Metropolitan Museum of Art or at Carnegie Hall. True to our roots and our mission, Adelphi continues to be powerfully connected to our communities and neighbors. Lucky for us, and our students, that includes the Big Apple.

I hope you enjoy this month’s newsletter and learning more about the inspiring academic, career and cultural opportunities our community gets to explore and enjoy right next door—in one of the world’s most connected and influential cities.

All the best,

President Christine M. Riordan Signature
